It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the spacious and ecofriendly campus of Hatsingimari College. It is the primier institute of higher education at the heart of the newly formed south salmara mankachar district head quarter which impart quality higher education to the peoples of vast area of south bank of the then Dhubri district and West Garo hills and South West Garo hills districts of Meghalaya. This college catering the thirst of knowledge in the backward International Indo-Bangla boarder region accommodating about two thousand students from the state of Assam and Meghalaya in the Arts and Science stream consisting of twelve departments. This is the only institute of higher education having undergraduate science stream in the district. This college become the knowledge hub for the South Salmara Mankachar District as well as a greater part of Meghalaya which is a great initiative by some great son of the region in the year 1987.
As it is a newly provincialised College, we don’t have sufficient infrastructures and facilities for our students and staff still we try our best for holistic development of our students. Hatsingimari College fraternity welcome the aspiring students and suggest them to put their best effort to be responsible and successful human being rather than expecting everyone to be at the top. We expect you to learn the concept, to be innovative and to learn value based moral education without which learning is incomplete.

Parallel to the traditional curricular activities the college maintain a vibrant atmosphere of co-curricular activities for which we have a well qualified physical education teacher.
Hatsingimari college is preparing for NAAC accreditation for the first time and hence all its teaching and non-teaching staff have been working day and night to obtain a prestigious grade in the said assessment and alround upliftment of the college. In this crucial moment we expect constructive suggestions and criticism from the students, alumni, guardians and all other stakeholders of the college.
Hatsingimari College is preparing itself for the New Education Policy (NEP)-2020, a noble endeavour to provide effective, practical and quality education to be implemented shortly by the government of India. In this regard an NEP task force has already been constituted and they have been working relentlessly.
Last but not the least, discipline which I believe is the key to any educational institution and I have taken a pledge to maintain strict discipline in the college premise so that everything flourishes in a decent way.
