About Library
Hatsingimari College Library was established in the year 1992 five years after the establishment of the College. In the beginning it has a few books. Gradually, numbers of collection as well as services have been improved. Students, faculty and office staff has membership in the college library. In the year 2013 the Hatsingimari College Library renamed “CENTRAL LIBRARY HATSINGIMARI COLLEGE”. The objectives of the college library are to ensure easy access to its resources. In order to stand in hand with the present digital era, automation and digitalization of the library has already been initiated. The library has over 23,000 books, magazines, journals, news paper and E-collection etc. Considering the fact that majority of the users belong to economically poor families the library takes extra care of them. The library also takes feedback from its users.

Objectives
• To collect, consolidate and circulate information and knowledge to students, research scholars and other academic communities.
• To promote the use of various sources of information and knowledge among the users.
• To preserve, protect and reuse the invaluable collection for its users.
• To maintain universal and democratic ethos of library.
Library Rules
• Every student must come to the library with college uniform
• All personal belongings except wallet, mobile phone, note book and library card will have to deposit in the property counter.
• Every user must scan their library card for their library attendance.
• Two books are issued to the students of Degree Course and one book is issued to the students of Higher Secondary Course.
• Books are issued for 15(fifteen) days only. A fine as per Library rules will be charged for each volume kept beyond the due date.
• Books lost, torn or defected in any way have to be replaced/ paid by the borrower.
• Books from reference section are not issued.
• Keep Mobile Phones in mute mode or vibration mode.
• Users must maintain silence in the library.
• The loss of Library Borrower’s Card should be reported immediately in writing to the Librarian and a fine of Rs.50/- will be charged for re-issue of a Library Borrower’s Card.
